We had our ultrasound yesterday and found out that Kade is going to have a little sister. We are very happy. Kade is actually the reason we found out. I want him to be able to connect with the baby, and I think the easiest way to do that is to find out the sex so we can give her a name and identity. He looked at her ultrasound picture and said “Sissy,” which needless to say sent tears of joy streaming down my face. Although there is no way he can understand exactly what will happen in a few months, he is definitely going to be a great and loving big brother. He even caresses my growing belly and gives his little sister butterfly kisses that melt my heart. I know I’m biased, but he really is such an amazing, loving, and sensitive child.
