I am sorry this post is a day late, but yesterday was rather hectic. This has definitely been a roller coaster of a week, but it has thankfully ended on a high. I got to spend a few hours at the hospital last night, and it was so uplifting to see my MIL looking well and in good spirits. So I guess that brings me to the list…
I’m thankful for the way my MIL handled the news of needing another round of chemo. Instead of curling up and cursing the world, she stood up and faced it with a strength that is more than inspiring – it’s contagious.
I’m thankful for my mom and dad who so kindly offered to keep Kade in Sandusky for the rest of the week so that I can get a few things done around here (as in a few of the couple thousand things I need to do before Punta Cana and this baby is born). I already miss him, but this is a much needed respite from the constant whining that Kade has been doing lately.
I’m thankful for my sometimes difficult little boy, who even when whiny, brightens my day everytime he says “Mama.”
I’m thankful for Toft’s. That’s the ice cream place in Sandusky where I happened to have a little piece of heaven called a Turtle Sundae this week. If you’ve ever eaten their delicious ice cream you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.
I’m thankful for my baby girl, Liv, who is already exhibiting a love of baseball, hot dogs, and nachos according to her acrobatic actions during the game on Sunday.
I’m thankful for family because when you’ve got family, you’ve got everything.
