Vacation’s Over

Our week in Punta Cana was very relaxing, but I missed Kade more than I ever thought possible. It was our first time vacationing as parents and it was a totally different experience. All of our other vacations seemed to fly by, ending with sadness at the thought of our return to the “real” world, [...]

We’re Off…

I wanted to post about how much I appreciate all my mom did for me while I was in the hospital, but I have about 5 minutes before we are heading out the door for the beaches of Punta Cana so I’ll say this:
Mom, I love you and I thank you.
I will post when I [...]

I’m Back, But Not For Long…

I was finally released from the hospital late this afternoon, just in time to leave for Punta Cana tomorrow. It has been a VERY long week, and I am so thankful for your thoughts and support. I definitely have gestational diabetes, which is great news because that means there isn’t risk for birth defects and [...]

Good News

Erika should be going home. The doctor came in this morning and told her that they are going to check her sugar after lunch and after that, she should be discharged, woot.
So now, the last day of work before we take off, wheeww.

Kyle’s Thankful Thursday

In Erika’s absence, I will step in for this edition of Thankful Thursday.
I am thankful that the Dr.’s caught the high glucose level before we left for Punta Cana, who knows what would have happened if they hadn’t.
I am thankful for my mother getting out of the hospital and being able to go home and [...]

Balancing Act

This morning, Erika called and her sugar was down to 69. That is really low for her. She was still waiting for breakfast, so after that, it should go back up.
The Doctor spoke with her and said that they still are trying to get things balanced out and that she “should” go home tomorrow. [...]

Still in the Hospital

Erika is still in the hospital. The short stint of wireless access went away after she switched rooms, so I am afraid you are stuck with posts from me until she gets out.
They told Erika today that they believe this is gestational diabetes which is GREAT NEWS. I think that I am a little leary [...]

The Surreal Life

This is Kyle posting again.
Erika has been moved to a new “private” room. She is doing well and so is Liv. They did an ultrasound and the 3D ultrasound but I was not there to see it. Liv is weighing in at 2 lbs. 8 ounces right now.
Tomorrow we will receive more news as to [...]
