And so it begins…

It’s 3 AM, let’s hope this isn’t the first of many sleepless nights to follow. When I was pregnant with Kade I used to go downstairs to my grandma’s TeaRoom (we lived in an apartment above it) and unload the dishwasher and set the tables at 3 in the morning. If there weren’t dishes to unload I would surf the internet for signs of labor, just so I’d be totally prepared when the time came. After laying in bed awake for almost 2 hours, I thought I’d blog to help soothe myself back to sleep. I guess this is nature’s way of preparing mothers for the zombie-like state we will experience in a few short weeks, but I’d really rather sleep now and complain later. It does make me kind of excited though, since I remember this happening at the end of my last pregnancy – excited and scared that the end is drawing near and we’ll be bringing home another baby very soon. Oh my God, now I’m freaking out about all we need to do before that happens. Ok, this is not helping my sleep problems – take a few deep breaths, relax…
