It’s Thursday and time for giving thanks. I’m a little late in the game today (ok, a lot late) but it’s been a full day so my apologies.
I’m thankful that I only have 5 weeks left to go in this pregnancy because she has already dropped and I feel like I’m walking around with a bowling ball between my legs (at least her feet are out of my ribs now).
I’m thankful for Kyle’s aunt Libby who not only is the bone marrow donor who will save my MIL’s life, but she also helped me out tremendously on Tuesday. She called in the AM saying her kids had an appointment right by our house and asked if she could stop in to say hi. I was on my way out the door to do the dreaded grocery run so she offered to watch Kade while I went. Thank you, thank you, thank you Libby. I got all of my shopping done in peace and quiet and I managed to not forget anything (amazing what you can get done without the distraction of a whining 2-year old).
I’m thankful for our friend Brian who thought of his always hungry pregnant friend and her son and sent Kyle home from work with cookies for us. He even sent a butterfly one for me since it was indirectly for Liv too. They were delicious and we thank you!
I’m thankful for all of the friends, family, and bloggers out there who read my blog and leave me such heartwarming comments. It’s nice to know that someone actually enjoys reading what I have to say.
I’m thankful for my little monster who has been hard to handle lately, but he has taught me the value of keeping a level-head and tested my practice of patience. He definitely keeps me on my toes and he forces me to be aware of the times that I lose control as well.
I’m thankful that my MIL’s week of pre-BMT chemo is almost over and that it has gone smoothly with little side-effects. She has been through hell and back the last 2 months, so hopefully this final journey isn’t as bumpy a ride. She definitely has God on her side…

Hey Erika,
Remember all of us have been there and it wasn’t that big of a deal. Always remember it takes a community to raise a child. Anytime you need help you know where I am
Love you,
Libby
