Yesterday morning Kade was eating breakfast in the living room while I was reading the paper and watching the Today show. He kept saying something over and over and I realized it was “Dr. Phil, Dr. Phil” so I looked at the T.V. and sure enough there was a Dr. Phil commercial on. I cannot stand Dr. Phil and I couldn’t believe that my little boy knew who he was so I asked him and Kade said “Dr. Phil on Sesame Street.” This is not our first encounter with Sesame Street and I remembered the episode where Dr. Feel and Dr. Phil made a cameo on the show. I’m so glad that my son has inherited my photographic memory and can see something once and keep it with him forever. If he can remember the obnoxious Dr. Phil after seeing him once on Sesame Street, then I had better start seeing what else he can remember. If we are lucky he’ll be one of those toddlers on David Letterman, reciting every president from memory. Hollywood here we come…
