Mama at 38 Weeks

I haven’t posted in awhile because I have been non-stop busy trying to get everything ready for Liv, and it’s official – she’ll be here at some point on Wednesday the 23rd. I had my OB visit and NST today and he scheduled the induction to begin Tuesday night with Pitocin starting Wednesday morning at 7 AM, so if she’s anything like Kade, she’ll be here before noon. I have been having pretty painful contractions since my amnio on Thursday, but they apparently haven’t done much to my cervix (50% effaced, soft, but only about a fingertip dilated – hence the need for cervidil Tuesday night). It is so surreal to know when she’ll enter this world and I am really starting to get nervous. I want her here in my arms, but I am also afraid of the unknown and how Kade will react. I am just praying for an easy delivery and a healthy baby girl (who cries substantially less than Kade did – hey a girl can ask for a little help from above can’t she…).

I’ve been thinking of you often these past few days…hoping everything was going well as you finish up all the little details. We’ll be praying for a speedy labor/delivery…can’t wait! love to you and the rest of your family…heidi

For those reading this….Erika is in labor right now and Liv should be here sometime today August 22, 2006. We will keep you posted!
