Our little pirate had the perfect day Sunday. We went to Legacy Village for their Trick or Treat and it was so much fun. My mom and dad drove in from Sandusky and Brit and Marc came up from Akron so Kade had his captive audience and took full advantage of it. Our children are so lucky to be surrounded by so much love. We had lunch together (I made an apple pork roast with salad and smashed potatoes) and then headed over to the festivities. Kade came home with a pumpkin full of candy, a balloon pirate sword (after waiting in line for over 40 minutes), and a smile on his face.

We woke up to sunshine and warm weather on Monday. I plopped Liv in the front carrier and strapped Kade in the stroller and headed to the park. Kade made the most of what was probably his last day at the park for the year. He played for about and hour while Mama chatted with a fellow parent who was nice enough to share some apples that he picked off a tree in the park – how cool. I had planned on taking some great pics, but alas – the batteries were dead. The fresh air rejuvenated all 3 of us. These nice days don’t come around very often.

Today we headed to the bookstore so Kade could play and I could buy this cd. I love, love, love her voice and the song “pretty little baby,” it brings tears to my eyes when I think about how much it rings true. Then we braved the pouring rain to head into the grocery store for Halloween candy that I waited till the last minute to buy (apparently everyone else did too). Once we were home I silently reminded myself that Liv really is going to be my last child. Toting around one child is hard, toting around two children is even harder, but 3 – impossible!
