Yesterday Kade decided to throw his binkies in the trash. I am relieved, happy, and proud. I am also a little nervous because as of yet he has been unable to nap without them and it took some coaxing before he fell asleep last night. As I’ve said before, no nap equals crazy mama. Hopefully it won’t last long.
He shed a few tears last night and so did I. I just know that sucking on those disgusting things soothed him and it broke my heart to hear him crying out for that comfort. So he relied on us last night to hold him and calm him, and reassure him that everything was going to be alright. It was a night that reminded us of what parenting is all about…
