I guess I jinxed it . Liv has been miserable the past two days. She cried all afternoon and evening yesterday, which is definitely not like her. Kyle and I are blaming it on teething issues (can it be possible at 3 months) due to the copious amounts of drool and aggressive hand sucking (not related to hunger). She spit up most of the tylenol before bed last night, but I had to wait to give her more so she had a restless night. After 2 hours of crying, she fell asleep at 9:00 and was up to nurse at 10:30. Kyle and I went to bed at 12 (I know it’s late, but the only peace and quiet we have is when the kids are asleep so we usually make the most of it), and she was awake again at 1:30 to eat. It took more effort than usual to get her back to sleep, but I was back in bed a little after 2. Thankfully she slept a few more hours, but was up and ready to go at 5:15 (Mama sure wasn’t). I brought her into the living room, we played, talked, and watched the Christmas lights on the tree. I gave her another dose of Tylenol at 6:00 and she was sleeping by 6:30 (so was I). Kade was up about an hour later and the day began. Moral of the story – I need to go to bed earlier…
Oh, and my son, the unconventional little enigma that he is, decided he’s interested in the potty again and woke from his nap screaming that he had to go so to the bathroom we went, where he proceeded to cry on the potty until he had an official poop. Yes, you read it correctly, he pooped on the potty! The amazing part is that he wanted to do it, he was crying because I kept asking him if he was done after he peed, and obviously he wasn’t. He went a few more times before bed, but had an accident in his underwear, which totally devastates him. Leave it to Kade to break the mold, most kids save the pooping for the last step of the training process, but my wonder child has tackled it first. I’m so proud…
