Runner’s High

I’ve been enjoying my runs lately, but I always feel heavy, like my legs are struggling to propel my body forward. Today was the first day that I felt light on my feet. I was gliding along the pavement, and for the first time since training started I actually felt like a runner. It’s a great feeling, one that I haven’t felt in over a year, and one that I definitely missed. I think the weather helped out too, it was more like a spring day than a winter one. My speed is increasing and I feel like I could go longer if I wanted to. For the first time in a long time I feel strong, healthy, and confident. Now if I could just figure out how to make this feeling last all day…
