This morning I went to the Team in Training group run in downtown Cleveland, and it was COLD. I ran 50 minutes yesterday (in the ice and snow) and clocked in just under 5 miles. Today we ran 50 minutes also, but I clocked in just under 6 miles in the same amount of time (proof that I run significantly faster when I am in the company of others). Needless to say, I was pretty proud of my accomplishment, and the fact that I was still breathing and able to walk at the end of it. I think this was the impetus I needed to get me to the 5:45 A.M. weekday runs (well that and the fact that I tried on bridesmaid dresses today with Britt).
My mom and Brittany came to the house at around 10:30 so we could head to a bridal show (I was amazed at the number of plastic surgery/beauty booths, but that’s a whole post in itself). Britt was armed with her printouts full of dream dresses, invitations, centerpieces, etc.(she’s such a chip off the old block – I couldn’t be more proud). At the very end of the show set-up, we found the booth of the dress-shop that had “the dress” she wanted. The woman there said that particular dress wasn’t even in the shop yet (leave it to Britt), but they had some like it in the store so she called in and set up an appointment for us. I hurried to the bathroom, nursed and changed Liv, and called Kyle to make sure he’d be home so I could drop her off. Brittany tried on two dresses, and the second one was it. It is gorgeous (I cannot say anything more or I will give it away, but it’s gonna blow Marc’s socks off). She is beyond stunning in it. It looks nothing like her “dream dress,” it’s actually prettier. I found my bridesmaid dress too, and it’s going to look great with her dress, but I need to seriously lose some weight. I’m running like a crazy woman, but I’m not losing any of my nasty flab. Weight-watchers, here I come (I lost over 30 pounds with it before my own wedding). Afterwards, we did what any woman needing to lose a few pounds would do – we stopped for food and drinks to celebrate and vowed we would start dieting tomorrow.
At this point I am leaving tired behind and moving on to exhaustion, but I will leave you with this little snippet of my amazing little man and his affinity for the song “Feel Good, Inc.” by the Gorillaz.

That video is absolutely adorable! He knows the words much better than I do! :)
I know! I have absolutely no idea what those people are singing. Kyle is in charge of lyrics.
Hi Erika!
Brittany had sent me Kyle’s link a while ago to see pictures of Kade and I check it out every once in a while to look at updated pictures of the little ones. They are absolutely adorable, I must say!!
I have read some of your posts and I must say it is fun to read about Kade and Liv growing up and all of the other things you have going on. I think it is wonderful of you to be running for Cindy, best of luck to you. She is always in my prayers!
I was reading this post and started to get teary eyed! It was so nice to hear about Brittany’s wedding preparations. She had called me last week to ask me to be in the wedding and I was getting all emotional on the phone! It will be such a wonderful day! I will definitely have to kick up my work out program so I can look nice with the rest of you! :)
Take care of yourself and tell Kyle I said hello! I just wanted to say hello!!
