I’m thankful that my running group decided to cut the long run short today due to the snow (everyone had to get home to shovel) because I was SORE from yesterday and it was a real effort to pick my feet up, let alone run. My new running mantra (from “The Non-Runner’s Marathon Trainer”) is “it doesn’t matter.” I was very tired, very sore, and very cold but it doesn’t matter - no excuses, I’m running anyway…
I’m thankful that we are going to a cocktail party tonight for Team in Training because for the first time in 3 years I am doing something outside of the home, something for myself, something to be proud of, and it feels damn good…
I’m thankful that it’s snowing. We can feel a little less guilty about paying for a snowplowing contract when there’s actually snow to plow. But wait, THEY DIDN”T PLOW YESTERDAY OR TODAY!!! If you can’t tell, I’m a little less than pleased about this…
I’m thankful that your advice paid off and Liv is now eating cereal with no nasty side-effects. I gave it to her every day this week so far and there have been zero problems. I mixed it with breastmilk instead of water and it must have helped with the digestion, so a big word of thanks to Amber and Viviana for the help. Now I have to start moving on to fruits and veggies, so keep your fingers crossed…
I’m thankful that Kyle went with me to Costco last night. If he hadn’t been there, I would have come home with bite-size brownies, an assortment of nut bread, some cookies, and a prime rib roast (umm, if I didn’t know better…I’d have thrown a pregnancy test in there too). Case in point, never go shopping when you are starving.

It means so much to me that you are running in this marathon for me. I know the training has to be excruciating and I am so thankful to you …. more than words can ever say.
Erika,
You name the weekend you want me to babysit and I will be there no questions ask. Like I have said before, when you and Kyle need sometime alone just call.
Love you
