Yeah, that’s a mohawk…

Cut & Style

A subtle one. A full-blown version would have required longer hair on top (and even shorter hair on the sides, so I guess it really isn’t a mohawk at all), and Kade just had a buzz cut a few weeks ago so that just wasn’t possible.

I am lovin it, though. It fits his “pirate” attitude, and his need to rebel against all forms of discipline that I feebly attempt to enforce. Gotta love that kid…

In other news, Kyle and I went out last night to a Team in Training get together (big shout out to Britt for watching the kids and making it all possible – thanks). I put on clothing that zipped and snapped (which makes me appreciate my sweats even more), applied tinted spackle under my eyes in an effort to cover the infamous bags, and sprayed some perfume to hide the scent of breastmilk that Liv so lovingly spit up on my shoulder. This Mama was ready to go, and I’m so glad we did. It was a fun evening, and a good prelude for my early run today, which was 6 easy miles thanks to good conversation and a great group of dedicated people to push me through it.

I’m beginning to think there may be something to carbo-loading on beer the night before a run…

Thanks for the tip, Viviana. Kade will love having his very own hair product, but how bad is it that my almost 3 year old son’s hair requires more maintenance than my own???
