Set-back

~ Guest-post from Kyle

Erika has been feeling a little strange lately… she has been having blurred vision, insatiable thirst and frequent urination. I have been pretty concerned seeing as she had the whole gestational diabetes thing with Liv. She got in for a doc appointment yesterday and it turns out her blood glucose level was over 600. She was admitted to the hospital and is still there now as they try to figure out all of the details. Hopefully she will be out soon.

I am sure Erika will go into more detail, I just wanted to give the abridged update.

Thank you to Epstein, Brian, Brittany, Nana and Papa for all of your help yesterday. We will keep you all posted.

Here we go again

Erika is doing pretty good. They still do not know if it is Type 1 or Type 2. She is still in the hospital but hopefully she will be coming home tomorrow. They are still adjusting her insulin levels.

I’m sure she wants you all to know that she is not giving up on her training. She is going to just have to add glucose checks and snacks into her training.

Hopefully she will be posting tomorrow.

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes. The worst part about hospitals is that they don’t have extra beds for your family. I missed the kids so much. I’m just so happy to be back home.
