My mileage for the month of January…98.34 miles. I can’t believe that I couldn’t manage less than 2 miles more to get to 100. I feel better writing that my mileage for the year is 108.08 though.
Today was sobering. After battling gail force winds, ice-storms, and the flu, I haven’t been on the road since Monday. I paid for it today. I couldn’t keep my sugars up, which means I felt like I was going to fall over throughout the run, and my right knee was screaming at me to stop (of course I didn’t listen to it), and the sidewalks were a sheet of ice so we ran in the somewhat less ice-covered streets. I wanted to stop from the second I started…it sucked.
Now I’m limping and pissed that I couldn’t push myself an extra 0.25 miles to break an even 10, and my Garmin is on the fritz. I am lost without that thing…literally.
What a great way to celebrate registering for Chicago…

When I’m off my a little bit, I just blame it on the Garmin. :)
Good month!
