Quarantine

I am currently paying the price for our rockstar weekend.

Liv was up every 30 minutes throughout the night either puking or pooping. At about 2 a.m., I decided to stop changing her clothes and just kept her in her diaper, snuggled next to me like the good ole’ nursing days. I amassed over two loads of laundry overnight, which quickly doubled this morning when Kade decided to join the party. I’ve got to give the kid credit, he has managed to aim his projections either into the toilet or bowl sitting next to him, which is something I always sucked at as a kid. I still hate puking so much that I’ll try to avoid it until the last possible moment, and often am too late myself. Nice to see that Kade didn’t inherit that from me…

Liv couldn’t even keep water down, but she hasn’t puked since 5, and has even eaten some crackers so my fingers are crossed that the worst is over. It’s the most helpless feeling in the world when you can’t do anything to make your children feel better. The only bonus to having two sick kids is that they’ll lay still long enough to let you cuddle them. The question is, who will cuddle me when I’m puking my brains out, because lord knows that’s what’s coming next…

Kitchen pots work well for puking kids. The handle makes it easy for them to hold. Good luck.

Don’t feel bad, everyone is sick these days and Kalahari probably didn’t help stop the transmission of germs.

What a great idea! I’ll have to use it next time, which I hope is a long way off…

Please don’t blame yourself, Papa. They could have picked this up anywhere. The doctor said it’s all they’ve been seeing in the office. And like Kyle said, Kalahari is a breeding ground for this stuff. All that matters is everyone’s getting better.
