I just registered for the Hermes Cleveland 10-miler. I wasn’t going to run it, but a friend of mine emailed last night to see if I would be there and we haven’t seen each other in a long time, so I decided to register. I really miss her, so this will give us the perfect opportunity to catch up, and it will force me to pull in the reigns (we’ll have to run slow enough to allow for conversation) and use it as a training run for the big show on May 18, where I’m chasing down the time of 1:50 for the half. I want to see what this diabetic is capable of.
My friend said she is planning on running Chicago as well. I am beyond excited. We not only get to train together all summer, but we get to run together for an entire 26.2 miles. Bring on the training season…I’m ready.

I must say I’m jealous as I’ll be running my 10+ here in Sandusky. Ah well. My time in CLE is just a moment away. Hope you have a ton of fun with your friend while catching up.

[...] Erika is running the Hermes Cleveland 10-miler and I really wish I could be downtown for it. It is her second race in a row that I missed. I love to go to her competitive runs and take some photos to document them. It is the perfect day for us, she gets to run and I get to take photos, everyone is happy. But she will be running with her friend, Julie, so at least I know she will be safe. [...]
