Liv spent the first three days of this week throwing up and filling her diapers with an ungodly amount of poo. I have done nothing but disinfect all that she touches and wash the piles of clothing, blankets, etc. that have been affected. She is finally better, albeit still playing the sick card when she wants something.
Kade, on the other hand, is now battling the virus. He can’t even keep water down and he tries desperately to make it to the bathroom before the diarrhea strikes. He just asked to put a pull-up on because he felt bad about needing to change his clothes so much. After waking up with vomit all over his bed, he has used the bucket every time since (poor kid has needed it at least 5 times). I am so proud of his skills. I know that Kyle had to clean up after me a few times during both pregnancies…I am not a good puker.
I’m praying that the vomiting stops soon, but I know the other is going to last a few days. As much as he drives me crazy running around the house and refusing to come in from the backyard, I wish I could take all his pain away so he could resume his usual antics. It’s heart-wrenching watching your 4-year-old moan on the couch, asking for medicine, when there is nothing you can do to help. All I can do is hold him and tell him he’ll be alright, which is what I’m going to do right now.
