I can’t believe it’s Wednesday. I know that I promised to blog about our fun-filled Memorial Day weekend, but it’s kind of old news. So I’ll just give you an abridged version of the details…
I love my family, and we got to spend an entire three days hanging out. My sister and brother-in-law were in from Chicago, and even though we can go months without seeing each other, we always manage to catch up right where we left off. I’m anxiously planning my next trip out to visit her in her urban oasis (we are thinking Lollapalooza, which would work to further my rockstar status). That girl has got an eye for style…and she’s so freaking gorgeous. She makes me laugh, and I really needed that this weekend. What can I say…I love my little sis.
Saturday was the big Kraus blowout and it didn’t disappoint. We ate and drank the day away, and sat around the fire until we couldn’t keep our eyes open. We spent Sunday with the Roth clan, playing cornhole, enjoying the sunshine, eating really good food, and catching up with family. We took advantage of the long weekend, and decided to go to Cedar Point on Monday. It was a perfect day. There were hardly any crowds or lines, and the kids were in heaven. It’s like I get to be a kid all over again…I just love it.
I’m not going to lie, by the time we got everything unpacked and the kids in bed on Monday night, I was exhausted. I must have recovered, though, because I’m loading the kids into the car tomorrow morning and heading to the Point for the day. What the hell…we might as well make the most of our passes before the summer crowds start.
I’m not taking a camera because it’s just too damn big to lug around (and Kyle is the photographer in the family), so here are two of my favorite shots from the weekend. Enjoy.

It was so freaking hot that day, but I’ve got to admit that I love what humidity does to Liv’s hair…those curls are too damn cute.

Don’t you love the attitude? He’s ready to ride.
Summer vaca rocks.
