10 reasons my husband rocks

1. He can use both sides of his brain. He can design kick-ass websites (like the one you are currently on), and do the coding and developing behind them. It’s what has made him so successful. If he doesn’t know how to do something, he’ll relentlessly work until he figures it out. Makes me crazy when it’s 2 a.m and he’s still plugging away on the laptop, but it pays the bills so I can’t complain…

2. He says things like, “Hey, check out my lame interface,” while watching a commercial for a Samsung cell phone. He claims it’s an iPhone thing, but I’m pretty sure it’s a nerd thing.

3. When he kisses me hello, goodbye, or for any number of random reasons, he pauses first and breathes me in. It makes me feel sexy, even when it’s 6:00 in the evening and I haven’t showered yet.

4. He makes me feel like the most beautiful woman in the room no matter where we are, or how many other beautiful women are present. He did it when I was 30 pounds overweight, through two pregnancies, and immediately after I ran 26.2 miles (have you ever seen someone at the end of a marathon…beautiful isn’t how I would describe them). This takes skill, fellas…

5. He has a great sense of style, sometimes I think it’s even better than mine. The boy dresses well, and he looks damn sexy doing it.

6. He knows me better than anyone else. Honestly, he knows what I’m thinking before I even say it, which has been known to scare the shit out of me on occasion. I think that’s why it’s impossible for me to keep a secret from him.

7. He doesn’t like to fight. This is one of the very few things that separates us. I am a fighter. If I’m angry, I want to yell about it, get it out in the open, say things I don’t mean and spend countless hours debating why I am right and he is wrong. Kyle doesn’t work like that. He walks away, lets me cool down, and we talk it out without screaming. It gives us balance.

8. He packs his own suitcase. I never thought this was something I should be grateful for, but after talking with some other women (including my mother and mother-in-law), I have discovered that it sets Kyle apart from a number of men.

9. He is my best friend. We have very similar interests. We enjoy each other’s company. We can talk to each other. We laugh a lot. It’s the most fulfilling relationship I have ever been in. It comes down to mutual respect, trust and love…that’s what makes it work.

10. He cried when he watched Juno. Seriously. Sorry ladies, he’s all mine…

[...] He loaded VirtualPC onto my Mac so that I can download my sensor/pump data from Carelink. He’s so handy that way (nevermind our leaking roof, peeling house-paint and the grass that needs cut…he’s on top of the important things and that’s all that matters). [...]
