Reason number 11

He loaded VirtualPC onto my Mac so that I can download my sensor/pump data from Carelink. He’s so handy that way (nevermind our leaking roof, peeling house-paint and the grass that needs cut…he’s on top of the important things and that’s all that matters).

I love you, honey. Thanks.

We purchased Microsoft Office 2004 Professional a while back and it came bundled with it. A Windows XP license came with it as well. Microsoft has since cut VirtualPC from it’s product line. Supposedly you can still purchase old copies off of Amazon or better yet, ebay. Basically Microsoft bought out the developers that created it and then killed it.

Let me know if you have any other questions. Email me at kyle@kyleroth.com

Thank you! Does Virtual PC work just like a pc would? Is it truly a “virtual pc” when done right?

Yes, it actually runs at the same time as the Mac OS runs so you can go back and forth. I just set up a shared folder from both OS and put the downloaded PDF’s in there so that that can be transferred into the Mac side of things.

I have not tried to run her Garmin software yet, but I am sure that will be coming soon.
