I’m neglecting my children…

because I don’t serve them meals on disposable, landfill-crowding, ridiculously expensive, paper plates. Instead, I’m spending time doing dishes when I could be running through the sprinkler, painting Liv’s finger-nails, and cuddling on our porch-swing.

Are you kidding me? Let’s sell something that is bad for the environment and bad for the budget by tapping into our mommy-guilt. Doing dishes, folding laundry, cleaning up…it’s all just part of our day. I manage to squeeze in time to read at least 10 books to Liv, hide in Kade’s “bat cave” while the Joker is after us, and still get the dishes done with minimal environmental impact. My children help clear the table, and they know how to separate the trash from the recycling. Thankfully, they won’t have to ask me which container the paper plates go into.
