Things that suck today.

Kyle’s flight was delayed, but what doesn’t suck is that he has finally landed and is headed home so we can have some time to um…talk tonight. Given the crazy week we had last week and this last minute business trip, we haven’t seen much of each other and I totally miss him. I’m way too into that man…seriously.

I was in my parent’s bathroom getting ready after my shower this morning and Liv comes in and exclaims the obvious, “you’re naked mama.” Then she proceeds to point at the cellulite on my thigh and asks me “what’s that,” which made me want to cry and laugh at the same time.

My left armpit is majorly chafed. It itches and burns and bleeds every time I desperately try to scratch it. Underarm chub really sucks when you run 20 miles. (Shouldn’t running 20 miles prevent underarm chub in the first place? I’ve got to look into that…).

I just found out that CityFresh had sweet corn as part of it’s shares today. I did not sign up for a share this week because I knew Kyle would be gone and I wasn’t sure if I had to pick him up from the airport. I’m totally craving corn, I totally had time to pick up my share today, and I’m totally over saying totally…totally.

The 3 foot Ariel balloon from Liv’s birthday party is scaring the shit out of me. It’s currently hanging out in the dining room and every time the wind blows it moves into my peripheral line of vision, which makes me jump because I think there’s someone in the house. Instead of moving the balloon, I choose to go with the excitement of getting startled every 2 minutes. It sucks that I am getting enjoyment out of this. It is also very sad.

My sugars have been crazy high all afternoon because I haven’t changed my infusion set in nearly 6 days. I filled my reservoir completely full because I was emptying out a bottle of insulin and with all the stuff going on around here, I never even thought about changing it. Thankfully, the numbers are on their way down with the insertion of a fresh, new site.

Here’s to tomorrow and it’s total lack of suckiness…totally.

you know, despite the chafing that occurs from incredibly long runs in undelightful places, that 20 mile run was still awesome :)
