Kade started talking about this year’s Halloween costume on Nov.1 last year. Seriously.
Darth Vader, Incredible Hulk, Batman, Optimus Prime, Green Goblin, a mummy, and King Triton (no joke…he was trying to be the ying to Liv’s Ariel yang) did not make the cut. His final choice is a time-tested, non-commercial classic. Drumroll please….
The trick is getting through the month of October with the costume still intact. I probably should have just bought two of them.
After pleading with Liv to don my handmade, childhood heirloom witch’s costume, I finally succumbed to her pleas for all things princess.
She’s going to look so freaking cute in her princess pink Chuck Taylor’s. I’m going to be tempted to put some red make-up on her neck…just to tie it all together.

They look so sweet! We can’t wait for Halloween, too!
Awww!!! (Nov. 1st, last year … funny!)
Too cute! Maggie is going to be a monkey - a costume I picked up for cheap and she loves. (Is Liv wearing the H&M skull and crossbones dress in that first pic? M just outgrew hers and I”m bummed).
Also, off topic, I just got back from 4 days in Chicago where I thought of you every time I saw one of the hundreds of marathon banners. I walked the lake front trail (even broke out into a very short-lived jog a few times) each day - I hope the course takes you by the lake for a long stretch - It’s gorgeous!
